Bonnie C. Smith, IIDA

Managing Principal
Before establishing her own interior design organization, Bonnie C. Smith worked in the interior design department of a contract furnisher. During her tenure at her former company, she worked with several of the most reputable design and space planning firms in Chicago, managing large commercial installations and eventually heading up her own department of architectural specifications.

In 1996, after taking time out to start a family, she started her own company, BCSmithDesign. Bonnie attended the University of Illinois and the Harrington Institute. She is a licensed interior designer in the state of Illinois and a member of the International Interior Design Association.

Kristen Larkin, ASID

Principal
When Kristen Larkin signed on with Bonnie in 1999, she was also an adjunct professor at her alma mater, the Harrington Institute, teaching the fundamentals of interior design. In addition to her practical applications of design theory, Kristen's project management skills and eye for detail proved indispensable.

After sharing an office and successfully serving clients together for several years, Kristen and Bonnie formalized their business partnership in 2006.
